Fun at Port Douglas

Today, Mummy and I went shopping. We had so much fun! I got 2 new dresses, we had ice cream and generally did what ever we wanted.
We stopped on the way home at the car wash to wash the Monster Truck. I had so much fun getting wet and shooting the washer gun!

Then we came home and played at the caravan park playground.

Paronella Park – a magical wonderland

On our way to Port Douglas we stopped at a place called Paronella Park, it was like a magical Fairy Land with special hidey-holes and beautiful things. I swear I saw Tinkerbell flitting down a path!

image

I got to see fruit bats, and tiny tiny micro rats inside a tunnel. AND SO MANY BUTTERFLIES! I fed the fish, eels and turtles and saw a beautiful waterfall.

image

Everywhere we went there was moss and streams. It rained a lot but that made finding new places to hide fun! Daddy gave me the map and I found a bamboo grove that was totally cool!

image

Mummy said it was the most beautiful place she’d ever been. Apparently one man built it all by himself for his wife back in the 1930s…..he must have been very busy.

Townsville and Mission Beach

image

We were in Townsville for a couple of days and we found a truly awesome water park! We had been to the Reef Aquarium in the morning, and seen lots and.lots of pretty fish.
We stopped on the way back to the van park to play here. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! There was a big bucket on the top that spilled heaps of water every time it filled. My favourite thing was to lay on the ground just before it tipped and let it wash over me.

We have left Townsville though and stopped at Mission Beach. I asked Mummy what the Mission was but she didn’t get it….silly Mummy. Its very rainy and windy here and I’m really glad that Mummy and Daddy packed my Wii….Daddy and I have been playing Batman and Robin all day. Daddy is very good at it.

Tomorrow we leave Mission Beach really early to go to Paronella Park which is apparently like a castle that’s overgrown with tree’s. Then off to Port Douglas.

What a busy week!

What a busy week!

What a busy week I’ve had! We’ve been staying at Airlie Beach and we’ve done so much stuff!

We went on a really fast banana kind of boat called the “BigFury”, it took us to a place where we jumped off the boat in the middle of nowhere and did snorkelling. I dropped my snorkel and Daddy had to dive down to get it. When we got on the boat again it took us to a beach called “Whitehaven Beach”. The sand was very soft and very white. I made a big sand castle with Mummy while Daddy went for a walk. We even fed some prawns to the fish.

On Saturday I had heaps of fun when my friends Ethan and Liam came to the caravan park we were staying at. They were on their way back down to home and stayed a night here, so we played ALL day Saturday. It was so good to see them. I miss my friends a lot. I know Mummy does to. We played in the pool, on the playground and then watched a movie in the afternoon before we all went out to dinner.

I also went to the Airlie Beach Lagoon. mummy had been shopping on the main street when she saw it., a massive pool complex. It looked nice, so Mummy got me a rashie and towel from the shops (she didn’t bring one because she didn’t think we would be swim. I’m glad she did though because I had so much fun. I even made a friend there.

Yesterday we went on another boat trip. We got off first on Daydream Island. There we saw a massive living reef, it’s the biggest open air aquarium in the southern hemisphere. I saw the people feeding the sharks, rays and fish. At one point the lady gave the sting rays food through their nose! Gross! I saw some clown fish (like Nemo),, as well a surgeon fish (iike Dory). I loved it so much. There were even mermaids all over the Island. We went on a really big bushwalk on Daydream as well. We walked from one end to the other, over the top of the mountain!

From there we got back on a boat and headed to Hamilton Island for lunch and swimming. While we were having lunch a magpie stole Mummies chips right out of her fingers as she was putting them to her mouth. I laughed so hard I nearly fell off my chair. We walked from the lunch place to the other side of the island and had a swim at the beach, and in very cool pool that had a bar right in it. You could buy a drink there and drink it without getting out of the pool! I was very impressed.

It was a long day, but we had so much fun.

Tomorrow we head off to Townsville. I wonder what we will do there?

Hervey Bay – Fraser Island

Hervey Bay - Fraser Island

While we were at Hervey Bay, we took the truck on the Barge to Fraser Island. We had to get up really early and I even saw the sunrise as the barge came to get us. We spent the day driving on the beach investigating all the things.

We swam down Eli Creek….you walked up the creek, then floated all the way back down through the bush to the ocean. The water was so clear you could barely tell it was there!

We also saw a shipwreck! It was very cool and had all kinds of sea creatures living in it. I saw 3 different types of crab, and an octopus!

Then we went on a long and bumpy 4WD track to a lake called Lake Mackenzie….the water was really nice and I played in the sand.

The next day, after the barge, Daddy, Mummy and me went out into Hervey Bay on the jet ski. It was very rough and it made me feel a bit sick. But we saw a turtle, and some dolphins. I played on a little island that we had all to ourselves! Then we had some lunch at Kingfisher Bay and came home. We were all really tired and Mummy could barely walk! Hahahahahaa

Next stop….Yeppoon!

North Noosa & Australia Zoo

North Noosa & Australia Zoo

What a busy couple of days we’ve had. We have been staying in Noosa, and have had some adventures!

First we went to North Noosa to drive along the beach. We had to take the car across by Ferry! it was soooo funny! We drove the car along the beach and came up to a spot called Red Canyon….we got out and I carved my name in the sand wall! I also went for a bit of a swim after discovering the lack of toilets about….I had to have a bit of a wash….it was cold and tickly!

We turned off the beach and drove along a 4WD track through the bush, then rainforest, then bush again. Then we had lunch at Rainbow Beach and I played on the park.

Yesterday we all went and got hair cuts. Mummy went in first, and while they were doing Mummy’s hair, Daddy and I both got ours done, then went and had something to eat, then some shopping…and still Mummy wasn’t done! She eventually came out looking nice.

Today we went to Australia Zoo. It was so exciting! I got tired from walking so Mummy hired a pull along cart and pulled me all around the zoo like she was a bus conductor…it was awesome! And we got to cuddle with a Koala and it was sooo soft! I wanted to hold it by myself, but the lady said I was too short.

After the Koala, we went and saw the animal show in the Crocoseum. It was really cool! A black cockatoo landed on Mummy and took her $5!….It was such a big bird, and Mummy’s picture was up on the mega TV screen! But the bird came back and gave Mummy back her money. It was so awesome!

I did some jumping on the jumping castle too….such an awesome time! I wonder what we will do next?

Redcliffe Park Fun Day!

Redcliffe Park Fun Day!

Today, Daddy went jet skiing to Moreton Island with his friend and saw some cool manta rays and a big turtle!

But with Daddy away, Mummy and I did some totally awesome playing. We played together at three different parks along the coast of Redcliffe.

One park was all full of wooden planks, pirate ships, and slippery dips. I made a new friend called Hermoine and we had an awesome time.

From there we went to another park that a ride called the comet….you sat on it and it spun around in circles. I even pushed Mummy around on that ride. Then we went on a see-saw and I found out that Mummy can make me go way in the air when she gets on the see-saw with me!

I did have an accident with the sunscreen….I kind of opened it and spilled it all over Mummy and Mummies special camera…’sorry Mummy!’

Then we got back in the car to head off to the ramp where we dropped Daddy off. Mummy was worried something broke on the jet ski because Daddy was late…and she was right! Lucky Daddy fixed it though.

Such a fun day! I’m so tired….but tomorrow we go to Australia Zoo! I can’t wait!

On the road again

Today we’re driving to the next camp site and stopping to see Robins new baby. I can’t wait! Me and my new Teddy are having heaps of fun annoying Mummy and Daddy on the drive. I wonder where we are going?
